01/30 FoE (ed and devices)

The educational possibilities that Forge of Empires offers is how to maintain your city by constructing new buildings, producing material, and keeping your citizens happy. This game also reflects our current day economy where people thrive on capitalism. Being a player in FoE forces you to partake in capitalism by continuously spending coins and diamonds in order to produce more tools and buildings for citizens.

FoE is easier to navigate on my phone just because I can easily move around my city. It was harder to zoom in and out on the computer because you actually had to press on the zoom icon to adjust the screen. On my phone, I just have to use my fingers to zoom in and out of my city. It is also easier to change from the “story” GUI to the hints that it gives you because you don’t have to wait for the pages to load. I also built a lot faster in a new city than I built when I was using the computer during class. I think I was able to navigate FoE better on my phone because I am constantly using my phone and am used to easily accessing whatever I need on it.
